Webmail lets you read and send mail from a browser, with nothing to install. It is the quickest way to confirm a new mailbox works.
Logging in
- Go to
https://yourdomain.com/webmailin a browser. - Enter your full email address as the username — for example
you@yourdomain.com, not justyou. - Enter the mailbox password. This is the password set for the email account, which is not your cPanel password.
- Sign in, and select the webmail application if you are offered a choice.
Alternative addresses
If yourdomain.com/webmail does not load, try:
https://yourdomain.com:2096
You can also reach webmail from inside cPanel: open Email Accounts and click Check Email next to the mailbox.
If you cannot log in
- Use the full email address. This is the most frequent mistake by some margin.
- Check you are using the mailbox password, not the cPanel one.
- Reset the password in cPanel under Email Accounts if you are unsure.
- Confirm the account still exists and has not been deleted.
- Try a private browsing window to rule out a cached session.
A certificate warning
If the browser warns about the certificate, use the server hostname supplied by your provider instead of your own domain, or ask them to issue a certificate covering the webmail address.
